Toril Brancher – Face to Face in Abergavenny

4 Colour Images: 130cm x 108 cm mounted on dibond and framed.

Face to Face is a series of photographic images, made collaboratively between artist and subjects, the young people in Abergavenny. Over a period of two years the artist approached young people in town, inviting them to consider the way in which they are perceived. Following careful discussions, location and pose were chosen before the photographic moments were recorded using a long hand held shutter release and a medium format camera.

“On my walks I have met some fabulously fun and pleasant individuals, I very much want the series to reflect that; to be a celebration of the young people in this town.’  Artist, Toril Brancher
